News! [5 December 1996] Added an Empire map and links to variant description pages for the Empire and Classical variants to the maps page.

News! [13 November 1996] Added a few more reviews to the Accolades page. The more colorful ones are at the top of the "...And What They're Saying" section -- check them out.

News! [13 November 1996] Added new links and updated the Pontevedria link in the Online Resources section.

News! [31 October 1996] Added ASCII versions of the standard and Asia maps, as well as links to variant descriptions for most variants to the maps page in the Online Resources section.

News! [30 October 1996] Added a postscript version of the Colonial Diplomacy map to the maps page in the Online Resources section.

News! [30 October 1996] Added the zine Aniara to the Online Resources section.

News! [24 October 1996] A clickable standard map with information for each map location and the Diplomacy Judge Reader mapping program have been added to the maps page in the Online Resources section.

News! [4 October 1996] A larger Aberration map has been added to the maps page in the Online Resources section.

News! [4 October 1996] Updates to the accolades page, including a couple of new awards and quite possibly our favorite review of all the ones received (see the top of "...And What They're Saying" after the list of awards).

News! [19 September 1996] Color and black-and-white maps for the Hundred II variant have been added to the Online Resources sections maps page.

News! [12 September 1996] The Fall 1996 Movement issue of the Zine is online!

News! [11 September 1996] Two reports on this year's AvalonCon '96 have been added to the Face to Face section.

News! [14 August 1996] The 1996 Runestone poll results have been added to the Postal section.

News! [17 July 1996] A library of postal zine articles has been added to the Postal section.

News! [10 July 1996] Updates to the accolades page, including The Diplomatic Pouch's first print review, from The Net magazine.

News! [30 June 1996] A new, large .gif Youngstown map (from Carl Skutsch) has been added to the maps page.

News! [21 June 1996] The Postal section now has a dedicated coordinator! Jamie McQuinn, publisher of the postal 'zine Crossing the Rubicon, has volunteered to take charge of the section, and so he has been gratefully welcomed into the DP Council. Check out the updates Jamie has already made to the Postal section.

News! [12 and 19 June 1996] Three color gif maps for the Colonial variant were added to the maps page.

News! [13 June 1996] The Spring 1996 Retreat issue of The Zine is now (finally!) on-line!

News! [28 May 1996] More updates to the accolades page.

News! [20 May 1996] Added a link to the Hundred Variant Home Page to the Online Resources section.

News! [14 May 1996] The convention results page in the Face to Face section now contains a report on the results of the Second French Intercollegiate Cup.

News! [23 April 1996] More updates to the Online Resources section, including a new link for the zine Box Frenzy.

News! [19 April 1996] Over a half-dozen new links have been added to the Online Resources section.

News! [19 April 1996] Added a CorelDraw version of the standard map to the maps page.

News! [14 April 1996] The Dip Pouch mailing list, where interested readers can keep up with the goings-on pertaining to the Pouch, has graduated to become a full-fledged majordomo mailing list (thanks to Michael Kernaghan). Send the message body "subscribe dippouch" to [email protected] to sign yourself up.

News! [4 April 1996] The Spring 1996 Movement issue of the Zine has been published! (Only a few days late.)

News! [30 March 1996] Answers to frequently asked questions about World DipCon VI are now available in the Face to Face section.

News! [13 February 1996] The Face to Face section now contains the call for papers sent out by the organizing committee of World DipCon VI. Papers are to be published in the Proceedings of the July event.

News! [8 February 1996] The map page now includes gif versions of all maps which can be viewed directly with graphical browsers.

News! [2 February 1996] Added the zine Box Frenzy to the Online Resources section.

News! [26 January 1996] The Online Resources section now includes a new map page and a link to the Diplomacy source code archive.

News! [24 January 1996] A list of Hobby personalities and how to contact them is now provided in the DP Hobby Registry.

News! [21 January 1996] Coverage of the dippouch game now includes the Winter 1995 military orders, bourse round 7 results, and past issues of The Garden.

News! [20 January 1996] Bruno-André Giraudon takes the Face-to-Face World Championship at World DipCon V in Paris.

News! [5 January 1996] The Winter 1995 Adjustment issue of the Zine is online! In fact, everything about The Pouch is new! All marvelously remodeled!
