News! [3 November 2000] Added links to Variantbank.com to the Online Resources section, and added the Battle of the Five Armies and U-boat Diplomacy variants to the variants and maps pages.

News! [29 October 2000] Added the ruffians game to the Showcase section.

News! [20 October 2000] Added an editable Desktop map pack for Windows to the maps page and added the Angie++ program to the mapping software page.

News! [7 October 2000] The Diplomatic Pouch Tournament Ratings are officially unveiled. This initial update ranks almost 2000 players from 19 counties on their participation in 79 different tournaments held in 10 different host countries.

News! [7 October 2000] The Face to Face section undergoes yet another overhaul. The new index page now has links to national Diplomacy pages for Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Many more counties will be added in the days ahead.

News! [2 October 2000] The Fall 2000 Movement issue of The Zine is published!

News! [14 September 2000] Added the Mobilization variant to the variants page.

News! [7 September 2000] Added links to two new pages to the non-english Diplomacy page: Dutch Diplomacy and Lepanto (German).

News! [24 August 2000] Significantly updated the Diplomacy Buyer's Guide: added a new page for Diplomacy variants, added new variants on that page, and deleted several stores that had previously been listed as selling new copies of the "old" Avalon Hill Diplomacy and Colonial Diplomacy games but which have since run out of stock.

News! [8 July 2000] Added links to the Balkan Battle, Boer Diplomacy, Multiplicity Plus, Narnian Wars, Northern Ireland Diplomacy, and Song of the Night variants to the variants page and where appropriate, also to the maps page. There are now over 170 variants listed on the variants page, and over 280 maps available on the maps page.

News! [7 July 2000] Changed the variant home page links for the Ard-Ri, Classical and Hundred variants, and added new maps for those variants. Also added a map for the Zeus IV variant which was previously listed on the variants page but for which there had been no map available.

News! [1 July 2000] Added a link to a recent Newbie's Guide to the Online Resources section. Added the Sengoku variant to the variants and maps pages.

News! [24 June 2000] Another attempt to catch up on a few updates. Added a more general search capability to search Diplomacy sites on the web (not just at The Pouch) to the Pouch search page. Added a color map for the Woolworth II-D variant to the variants and maps pages.

News! [23 June 2000] Added three new French sites to the non-english Diplomacy page.

News! [22 June 2000] Update the standings of the American Diplomacy Register Grand Prix, with scores assigned at The Canadian Championships, PrezCon, Diplomatic Incident, and DixieCon.

News! [21 June 2000] The hot deal mentioned in the June 13th update is over. If you missed it, you missed it.

News! [15 June 2000] Added a hot deal on Hasbro's Diplomacy and Avalon Hill's Colonial Diplomacy to the Diplomacy Buyer's Guide. Get either one for under $20 + shipping (vendor ships within the U.S. only).

News! [13 June 2000] Still working to catch up on miscellaneous updates. Added a new map for the African variant to the variants and maps pages, and added a new map for Palm PDAs to the maps page. Added two new sites to the Diplomacy Player Communities page (the Diplomacy World Yahoo! club and Israeli Diplomacy). Added a new Portugese page to the non-English Diplomacy page. Added a link to Norsk Diplomacyforbund (the Norwegian Diplomacy Association) to the Diplomacy hobby organizations page.

News! [12 June 2000] Catching up on miscellaneous updates. Added a couple of new vendors for the Hasbro/AH edition of Diplomacy to the Diplomacy Buyer's Guide. Added new maps for the Necromancer variant to the variants and maps pages. Added a new program (War Room) to the Mapping Software page and updated versions of Realpolitik on the same page.

News! [8 June 2000] Small update to the Diplomacy Buyer's Guide: added a new vendor for the Hasbro/AH edition of the game and corrected an incorrect price that was listed.

News! [2 June 2000] Added the Ancient Mediterranean to the variants and maps pages.

News! [17 May 2000] Made a few updates to the Diplomacy Buyer's Guide.

News! [24 April 2000] Much needed maintence was done on the Informal Gatherings and Clubs & Organizations lists in the Face to Face section. Many of the entries with dead email addresses and/or web sites have been eliminated. Many new entries have been added. Work on this is expected to continue over the next couple weeks.

News! [27 March 2000] Extensively updated the Diplomacy Buyer's Guide.

News! [20 March 2000] Added a link to a new color standard map to the maps page, added a link to the Automated Online Mapper customization page to the Diplomacy Mapping Software page, added a link to a Finnish Neuromancer page to the variants page, and added a link to the Finnish Diplomacy society to the Hobby Organizations page.

News! [1 March 2000] A number of things were updated in the Face to Face section over the last month. Results are out from The Regatta, which means that the 2000 ADR Grand Prix is now under way! Also, check out the updated ADR Ratings Page to see who's now ranked as the top FtF players in North America.

News! [14 February 2000] Added a editable ASCII Javascript map to the Diplomacy Mapping Software page.

News! [13 February 2000] Added the Automated Online Mapper and PBEM Diplomacy using Cyberboard to the Diplomacy Mapping Software page. Also added a link to the new FROG judge page to the Online Resources section.

News! [7 February 2000] The Upcoming Convention section of the Pouch was updated with the latest information!

News! [18 January 2000] The Face to Face section has a new look. All the old information is still there, along with some new stuff. A couple links don't work yet, but will very soon.

News! [18 January 2000] A new Face to Face Diplomacy Ratings Page has been added. This includes the American Diplomacy Ratings, which have lived on the Pouch for the last 8 months, and also a new European Ratings page, put together by Duncan Adams. Check it out!

News! [15 January 2000] Stephen Agar, maintainer of the Pouch's Postal section, has now taken over maintenance of the tactics and strategy pages. Please update any links to their new location at http://www.diplomacy-archive.com/resources/strategy.htm

News! [14 January 2000] Added to variants the following variants to the variants pages: Barbaria, Davis Diplomacy , Diplomacy: The Gathering II, Egypt Diplomacy, High Speed Diplomacy, Intimate Diplomacy II, London Nights, Lord of Hosts, Middle Earth VIII, Ooh Ever So Nasty Diplomacy, Portage Variant, Pride of Armies, Seismic Diplomacy, Stonehenge Diplomacy II, Troubleshooter, The Twentieth Century, Vain Star and World War I Diplomacy. For the ones that have specific maps associated with them, also added the appropriate maps to the maps page. Also reorganized the variants pages from three pages to four to decrease loading time, as the files were getting a bit large.

News! [8 January 2000] Added links to Diplomacy-archive.com and Sean Lorber's Diplomacy AI page to the Online Resources section. Added a map for the Five Italies variant to the variants and maps pages. Also added over 20 strategy articles to the strategy page and the variants strategy page (look for the "New" icons).
