Special Rules
Players may build and race through NSW, SA and NT.
Treat NSW State Rail Track like another palyer's for purposes of junctions and parallel builds.
NSW State Rail Track may be raced along. Hire costs are the same as if it belonged to another player. However, there is a one die-pip penalty when changing between a player's track and NSW State Rail Track due to the gauge difference between Queensland and NSW.
Half cities pay $3 each when connected.
Start Positions
Brisbane, Maryborough, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, Cooktown, Normanton. More than one player may start at each location.

Basic Game
1. Northern Territory: Connect to Camooweal (hex P2 labelled 'NT')
2-4. Port: Cairns, Townsville, Bowen, Mackay, Gladstone, Maryborough or Brisbane. (Optional Rule: in postal games, Maryborough is available only in rounds 7-9)
5-6. NSW: Connect to any hex containing NSW State Rail Track (inc R89 and S87 in Queensland)
Advanced Game
1. NSW: Connect to any hex containing NSW State Rail Track (inc R89 and S87 in Queensland)
2. Port: Cairns, Townsville, Bowen, Mackay, Gladstone, Maryborough or Brisbane. (Optional Rule: in postal games, Maryborough is available only in rounds 7-9)
3. Coal: Collinsville, Blackwater, Moura, Biloela or any of the 13 hexes labelled 'C'. (optional rule: in postal games, coal hexes used in round 7-9 cannot be used in rounds 10-12)
4. Sugar: Cairns, Innisfail, Ingham, Ayr, Mackay or Bundaberg.
5. 1-3: Norther Territory: Connect to Camooweal (hex P2 labelled 'NT')
4-6: Nickel/Phosphate/Silver/Tin: Mount Isa or any of the 5 hexes labelled 'Ni', 'Ph','Ag' or 'Sn'
6. 1-3: Gold: Croydon, Charters Towers, Cympie or any of the 3 hexes labelled 'Au'. (optional rule: in postal games Palmer River is only available in rounds 7-9)
4-6: Copper: Mount Isa or any of the 7 hexes labelled 'Cu'.
Scale: One hex = 37km across
