ARMADA Leadership

As specified in our charter, the ARMADA is led by a group of three "officers." The current officers are: -->

Jon Saul - Lord of the Admiralty

Jon Saul is one of the more recognizable ARMADA members around the worldwide Diplomacy community. Jon has represented the ARMADA at conventions stretching from Seattle and Portland, to DC and Chapel Hill, to Birmingham England and Paris. Prior to becoming Lord of the Admiralty, Jon served effectively as ARMADA's first Admiral of the Fleets. Jon's duties as Lord of the Admiralty include serving as the main public face of the organization, approving all financial outlays, organizing the Regatta convention and tournament, and presiding at the annual membership meeting. Jon's term of office runs through the 2016 annual meeting.


Aash Anand - Admiral of the Fleets

Aash Anand . In this position, Aash's duties are to control the organization's finances, collecting dues and managing the membership roster, organizing and encouraging face-to-face play with the assistance of the local Fleet Admirals as he appoints them, and overseeing the running of all ARMADA face-to-face tournaments. Aash's term of office expires at the 2016 annual meeting.


Manus Hand - Grand Admiral
Manus founded our organization in 1999 and served as its fearless leader until the 2003 annual meeting. Manus's contributions to the hobby include the founding of the worldwide hobby's home page, The Diplomatic Pouch, which earned him the 1996 Don Miller Memorial Award for Meritorious Service to the Diplomacy Hobby. Manus was solicited to author chapters for the user manual of the Hasbro Interactive adaptation of Diplomacy. As Grand Admiral, Manus is responsible for arranging and adjudicating web based games and maintaining the ARMADA web presence.
