UNIX style SYSLOG can be enabled via the flag SYSLOG_FLAG. This will send logging information to a SYSLOG specified destination. By setting this flag to a non-zero value, SYSLOG information will be automatically generated. The defines for this are stored in the file diplog.h, currently only the log level of LOG_USER is hard-coded. All syslog levels can be used, and are available via variable-argument functions, namely: void DIPERROR(char *fmt, ...); void DIPWARN(char *fmt, ...); void DIPNOTICE(char *fmt, ...); void DIPINFO(char *fmt, ...); void DIPDEBUG(char *fmt, ...); in decreasing order of severity. Only a few calls are made at present to these functions, these should be expanded in the future. -Millis Miller 6th Oct 2000
